Las Palmas Mexican Food

The pozole here is very good, full flavored with lots of meat, not a bunch of hominy to fill the bowl. Very generous serving. This was a takeout order when it was cold outside- so my review is not timely. ‍ Bought twice and quality very consistent. Recommend! Will try their Birria tacos and menudo next. I live locally and happy this only authentic Mexican restaurant is located in San Dimas

Food was fantastic. Very flavorful, service was top notch. I had the tostada de ceviche, very fresh.

Stopped by Las Palmas for some delicious Mexican food. I have three birria taco plate which came with rice, beans, salad & consome. Very tasty and the birria was super moist. Service was excellent and attentive. There are also many lunch specials in the menu.

Stated promptly. Chips and salsa right away. The salsa is more sweet than hot. Menus are sticky, sorry guys they need a wipe down. Tables are clean and seems very popular here. Clean inside. Chill vibe. We got a habernero salsa, gren salsa, and the red. All are good. Green is a bit tart. Red is sweet both mild. The habernero has a good slow burn. Margaritas are pre mix. No tequila to add or select! Bummer. No drinks for me. The food was good. Not the best or worst I have had. The bar situation could be better. The presentation was great! I would come again.

Give this place a chance. I like coming here for happy hour. The prices are good, music is good, and the people are nice. Food is good too. Definitely check it out. Ask for Paola, she is super friendly and will answer your questions.

Update Nov 2024: Fiesta enchiladas were delicious! My only complaints are: 1. Even the rice was a bit too spicy. 2. Waiting time to get order taken was a bit long. 3. My water glass was never refilled. All things they can do something about.

Authentic and delicious food, kind employees, an atmosphere that just makes you want to keep coming back - Las Palmas is a treasure that San Dimas is lucky to have. Jose and Jamie are wonderful proprietors who make every effort to get to know and please their customers. We patronised their restaurant all throughout the pandemic because we wanted to help see them through. They have high standards for themselves and all of their customers, which is why our community is fully invested in seeing them thrive. Plus, nobody makes molcajetes or taco salads the way Las Palmas does. They are peerless when it comes to making excellent Mexican food.

So, I have lived in San Dimas for 30+ years and never knew about this place. Let me tell you...it is AMAZING! The service was great! The food was outstanding! We will definitely be coming back again! My husband is a sucker for shrimp cocktail and it was everything! So much shrimp and the soup he said was impeccable! I order the taquitos a la cart and that was to die for! I was craving them all morning and they definitely hit the spot! We also ordered the ribeye fries and those were also everything. Nothing disappointed! We will be back for more!
